I heard Hirabai in 1944 in YMCA auditorium, Hyderabad and several times on Bombay AIR. She had an incomparable voice and several times in her alaap. it was difficult to tell whether it was her voice or the taanpura’s heavenly hum. I live in the United States. If tapes or CDs of her celestial music are available in India I would love to buy. Nothing ever gave me such experience as her music.
