I would like to thank my friend Taimur Khan, the prime mover behind the sarangi.info website, for being kind enough to provide me with this space.
I was born in Rawalpindi, and barring the first 3 years of my life, grew up in Lalazar, Rawalpindi. My first 12 years of school were spent at St. Mary’s Academy, Lalazar. I graduated with a Bachelors in Economics, in 1997, and an MBA, in 1999, from LUMS, Lahore. I started my career selling frozen chicken and moved on to selling IT and Telecom solutions.
I worked for seven years in the IT and Telecom solution provider industry in Pakistan before embarking on my present trip. I am currently enjoying life as a graduate student in the Department of Economics at the UNLV and am working at the Center for Business and Economic Research.
My interests include photography, literature, travel and economics and I am glad to be able to share these with you. I am grateful to my family, friends and a few others for helping me in my journey and for enriching it beyond what I could have imagined.
