  1. do anyone have a tappa recording of Pt. d. v. paluskar.
and can someone help in finding out any tarana recording of him.
how can it be possible that such a great vocalist and he never sung tappa & tarana, that too being a representative of GWALIOR gayaki of hindustani music.

  2. Very neat always in his gayaki. A great Master of Hindustani Classical Music, of whom we could not hear more for his short span of life.

  3. I WAS BORN IN GUJRAT AND LIVE IN ISRAEL LAST 54 YEARS, LIKE INDIAN CLASSICAL MUSIC A LOT. WHENEVER I HEAR PANDIT PALUSKARJI, I FORGET MYSELF. IT TAKES ME TO HEAVENS, THOUGH I HAVEN’T STUDID MUSIC/

  4. Very few singers moved me so much as Panditji. Tears rolled down my eyes when I read that he passed away at 34 No body can replace him. Has any of his son/daughter taken to music ?

  5. There is a song is Marathi “Jo avadato Sarwala tochi awade devala” Means the one who is liked by all is liked by the God and He takes him away. That is how D V Paluskar dies. He was a great devotee of Lord Rama.

  6. Panditji did have 2 children, but I can’t find more information on them. Truly a divine musician and person in general. Lord Rama took him back early, and we mourn this loss even decades later.

      1. Panditji sang a tarana in Malkaus. I am not aware of the recording of this concertIt was in Ganesh festival concert in 1955 in Amravati in Maharashtra. I was extremely fortunate to hear him. I was just 15 yrs old but that entire concert is fresh in my minds eye as if it was yesterday. Outstanding vocalist. Probably it was his last public concert before his untimely death.

  7. Do any old timers recollect Panditji singing Malgunji in concert? So far I have seen no recording of that. His Gwalior colleagues often sang the raag
