Aftab Datta has kindly shared with us a video recording of Mubarik Ali’s (sarangi nawaz) Puriya Dhanasri. The ustad was very fond of this raga and had one rendition of it recorded on a cassette. I had listened to it once in 1998, and regretfully found out later that it had been carelessly misplaced/lost by his family after his demise in December 2002. It was a delight to discover this video which Aftab has acquired from John Campana. John, thanks to you too!
